Hi Bob, How can we thank you for the work and amazing effort you put into the festival as a mum it is so great to be able to have such a safe place and venue to take the kids. As you do we often enjoy Paul’s hospitality he has always accommodated us and makes my family so welcome every time we go there. Bob the girls had written a small song they wanted to sing at the festival but weather etc affected some of Sundays singaround compared to the other years we sang it very briefly to you outside the pub on Sunday. I have spoken to Jenni and Heather and if it is possible and okay with you they would like to do it on SEPT 7TH what they have said is that they will get sponsors to sponsor them. It goes We’ve been camping here three years and the grass gets very long, We think that the time has come to sing a folk based song. My Daddy he does like the beer and I enjoy my friends Our tent it is a leaking and we know it will not mend. We really like the hotdog stall it really fills our tums I don’t want to tell you this they cook better than my Mum The trains they come a rushing past making such a din I am trying to sleep at night it really does me in The Bowling green it is the place to find a welcome Inn My Mummy she got drunk last night drinking all the Gin So you see this song my friend is coming to an end We are very lucky to have you for our friends. Jenni and Heather Onley (CAROL ONLEY ) |

Hi Bob Can I add my twopennorth to the accolades. The organisation in the face of the worst weather was fantastic. Another brilliant festival. A special thankyou for the quickly arranged spot for Jasper on Saturday, much appreciated. Catch up with you soon. Dave & Carole |

Hi Bob, Yes a brilliant festival all round. I really enjoyed it, and thank you very much to all of you. AJC said he enjoyed my spot and my feet haven't touched the ground since! Got finished moving chairs back to pub and Dodford by mid afternoon on Monday then after moving Ken's stuff got home 5ish.(caravan intact this time) Other Ken towed my van off which was great so I hardly even got mud on my car. Looking forward to next year. I won't be at the club on Thursday as I'm going to Nick Even's guest night at the Lighthouse. He might then come to my guest spot there on the 23rd August (scratching backs!). All the best Graham |

Bob, Thanks to you and all those involved with making last weekends Festival a very enjoyable
success - We also like to say that we thought Fairfield were on top form and thoroughly enjoyed your sets, especially on Sunday afternoon. Keep up the good work. The Teall family and friends. PS. You said that next years line up will be even better. I think you've set yourself a real challenge there! Good luck |

Thanks for a great weekend. You are all amazing. Please pass our thanks to the whole committee and additional helpers. We had a great time. Chris asked me to pass on to John and Mak that there is a poster size photo of them in the Divers on Alderney. Talk about fame!! Take care and see you soon Sally and Co XXx |

Hi Bob, Cynth, and all. Now that the dust has settled on the weekend! I feel that I must give a fulsome round of applause to all of you at Bromsgrove Folk Club for giving us a festival to remember. The quality of the line up, the helpfulness of the stewards, the friendliness of the bar staff and the sheer hard work of everyone concerned should be held up as a shining example to festival organisers everywhere. No message of thanks should pass by without a very special vote of thanks to Ken. I don't think that he stopped working at any time during the event. He met all enquiries with a friendly smile and words of encouragement and help. This man is worth his weight in gold and should be canonised. Look forward to seeing you all very soon. Very best regards, Trev & Kate |

Dear both (Neil and Yvonne) - |
|
...very many thanks for asking me up to play last Thursday at the club. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all and the chance to play what for me was a new venue. Good luck with the club and your festival plans. They are in capable hands. All the very best Bob Wood |

Hi Bob Another great festival, well organised brilliant music and just the right amount of sunshine. It continues to be one of our favourites. Very best regards Keith and Pauline Holder |

Dear Folk Festival Committee, Thanks for a brilliant weekend full of fun, frivolity and sheer artistry. Without exception the guests were captivatingly entertaining. The Not so Light Programme, in the same league as Dave Seally’s show, had a clever mix of timing, nostalgia and humour. I kept looking across at Malcolm Stent who was clearly enjoying the show. He was no doubt worrying a little about how he was going to follow it! Thanks to everyone for organising, panicking, painstaking, persuading, worrying, giving of precious time, looking after people, carrying, lifting, sweating, losing sleep and generally making sure that we, the ordinary punters, had a wonderful festival. Ta! Everso. Steve |

Hi Bob Agree with everything you say about the festival. The pub, caterers, artists and all the staff were really friendly and first rate. Their were several obvious factors that were out of our control contributing to the lack of numbers of day visitors and I have spoken to a couple of people who usually come for a session or 2 and didn't this year. It was simply the weather in their case. The pluses No hastle or fear of trouble. Excellent, quick, friendly service and all drinks available at both bars Even with all night sessions going on, no disturbance at night The availability of late night sessions The minuses, apart from the weather. Limited choice of real ales, Personally we felt that Saturdays concerts, first rate musically as they were, gave little opportunity for the Bromsgrove choir to show the full voice in chorus songs and we always like to see one act of the Comedy folk style such as Keith Donely or Malcolm Stent We would certainly be happy to hear we were going to continue with this venue Regards |

Bromsgrove Folk Club IS the best in the Midlands . It has the best Folk Festivals and has been consistent for many many years. I don't know how the organisers keep up their enthusiasm Regards, Graham Collins |

Hi Bob, Thanks for the E- See you at Burntwood |
|
It was great thanks. Mum enjoyed it too. More single men needed. And someone asked me to say can the bar have some kegs of real ale next year and can the men's toilets be away from the women's toilets. But stunning success. See you soon. I actually don't know where the rugby club is yet, could you give me some directions please Salx |

Hi Neil and Yvonne, Hope you are now well- Anyway, we’re now back from holiday and I just wanted to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ on behalf of myself and the guys for a really good gig. The organisation, both before and after event, the event was superb, as usual. We all (including the kids) had a smashing time! Look forward to hearing from you in the future. Thanks again. All best wishes - John Wright Music |

Hi To You All. Many congratulations for an absolutely magnificent festival. Super artists, super site, super beer and super weather.....if you tell me you arranged the latter I won't believe you! How's Bob's head......did the tree recover? See you soon Trevor (Nothing to Prove) P.S. As requested, I have to say that Mac was absolutely magnificent........if he promises to buy me a pint I will make sure he does not have to dress in women's clothing at the Woodman Panto. |
